Lido Cucina – Authentic Italian Dining Experience in Point Lonsdale

We had a wonderful experience at Lido Cucina! Attentive, warm, and full of personality — the service made the experience truly memorable! I enjoyed the Gnocchi Sorrentina and Calamari Fritti, both cooked to perfection and full of flavour. For dessert, we indulged in the Coppa Lido, their signature sundae, with Stracciatella gelato, crushed biscuits, and ricotta cream, topped with a cherry — absolutely exquisite! Every bite was a delight. A charming spot with fantastic food, attentive service, and a true sense of warmth. We’ll definitely be back!

The meatballs were unbelievably good! Pasta and canolli were delicious as well - not sure about the cherry on the canolli but it was an interesting take. Loved that they accommodated our dog too!

A great addition to Point Lonsdale. We had pork ribs and rucola salad both outstanding , pork fell off the ribs we shared as enough for 2 in 1 serve . Very busy night but service still quick .

John and his team have created a really unique environment. Located in the guest house, it's a cosy and warm setting but still quite relaxed. The food was delicious and the quality of the ingredients really stood out to me. Some of the best Italian I've had in the Geelong/bellarine region. Was a pleasure to chat to John about the food and some of football decorations on his wall Will be back!

Love this place, small menu of tasty appetisers and pasta mains. The appetisers were great, in particular the calamari which is always tender and scallops which come with a delicious crunchy breadcrumb crust. Have had gnocchi on two occasions, both times perfectly cooked in hearty sauces, and another time the chicken Parma which was well cooked; tender and not dried out like most pubs would serve. The wine list is good, with good local wines by the glass. All in all, a great honest down to earth and hospitable restaurant conveniently located for those in point Lonsdale.

Great local restaurant that is a welcome addition to Point Lonsdale. The restaurant is approachable, friendly and the food is very good. I have eaten both of the gnocchis, they have been perfectly cooked and the sauces well balanced, flavoursome and nicely seasoned. The chicken parmigiana was far superior to the average pub offering; clearly breaded in house and juicy and tender inside. The service was a little mixed; had a great waitress on one occassion who was friendly and efficient, on another occasion the waiter was a bit all over the place. They are using young people as wait staff which explains why it's a bit patchy. To finish, they serve good value honest local wines, many by the glass, that fit the setting perfectly. All in all, great experience, will be back over and over.

Despite the front of house not speaking or acknowledging us at any stage but rather interacting with every other table, we enjoyed our meal with starters of calamari fritti and also scallops. Followed with mains of a classic spaghetti bolognaise and a gnocci in creamy mushroom and truffle sauce. The gnocci was excellent. However the lack of personal attention left us disappointed. A simple "how are your meals?" or "Thank-you come again", would have been appreciated.
